Back in 2011 I scanned a bunch of stuff Green Lantern related because the movie was about to come out and I was kind of excited. So, given yesterday’s GL centric post, it seemed like a good time to repost some of those images.

Back in 1983, DC began publishing high quality reprints of some of their older material. Green Lantern/Green Arrow was one of those reprint series. These were really cool books and had some really slick covers.

Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn was popular when it was first published. So popular that it got its own inexpensive trade paperback. This was from a time when trades were reserved for big stories, so this was a big deal. The $4.95 price tag seems so quaint now. This was similar to the first trades of Batman: A Death in the Family. Both were printed on the cheapest paper that could be found at the time.

As I wrote yesterday, I loved the first story arc from the 1990 Green Lantern series. Pat Broderick’s art had a lot to do with that. That first issue cover is especially awesome. It was turned into a promo poster that I have been low key chasing for years now.
That’s it for today. As ever…
