The week got away from me, so the next installment of my commentary on the various Spider-Man movies will have to wait.

Instead, I thought I would post some of the covers that adorned the recently released DC’s end of the two specials featuring brand new team-ups between Superman and Spider-Man. I finally got a copy from a seller on eBay because I waited too long to get to a comic shop and they were sold out of every copy they ordered. Some of the covers on eBay called to me, but they were a bit rich for my blood at the moment, so I went with the standard one.
I haven’t had a chance to read it yet because it came in the mail yesterday and the day I’m writing this is my long day at work, but I’m looking forward to it. I have had some invitations from a couple of Spider-Man related podcasts to talk about the special and I also have plans with my friend and co-host of The Overlooked Dark Knight, Andy Leyland, to cover it on It All Comes Back to Superman in a month or so.
I’m looking forward to reading it. Mark Waid writing a Superman/Spider-Man team-up?
Yes, please.
And Brad Meltzer writing the main story from the Marvel edition?
Again, yes, please.
Anyway, below is a selection of the, at last count, 1,465 variant covers that were put out that I liked the most. In no particular order.

If you want to hear Andy Leyland and I talking about the first Superman/Spider-Man special from 1976, you can check it out by clicking on this link. I’m working on our discussion of the second one, which should be out in a week or so.
More to follow…
