From Crisis to Crisis Episode 2 – Man of Steel Issues 3 thru 6
Welcome to From Crisis to Crisis Classic! Because of the original feed getting lost due to financial considerations I (Michael) decided to start representing them on this feed to give them a new home since people still seem to be finding them.
Note before listening…check out the original release date below if you hear something that sounds kind of off or doesn’t align with the social norms of today. Or if the audio quality isn’t up to snuff of what you’d hear from this show today. These epsiodes are represented as they were first released. No editing. No George Lucas style revamps. I’m doing this mainly because I want to retain the original feel of the episodes and also because…well, I’m lazy.
Episode 2 – Man of Steel Issues Three thru Six
Original Release Date – May 19, 2009
Original Show Notes
This week your hosts, Jeffrey Taylor and Michael Bailey, continue their look at the MAN OF STEEL mini-series. They go over Batman and Superman meeting again for the first time, the full out introduction of Lex Luthor, the brief life of Bizarro and the big finish where Clark finally learns where he comes from.
Thoughts Years Later
Wow, I was super lazy with the show notes back in the day.
Anyway, Jeff and I covered issues 3 thru 6 of Man of Steel in this episode, which was a curious choice. Looking back we should have probably split the series evenly. Jeff’s audio was still wonky in this one because he hadn’t figured out the settings and I think if we were doing this now we would have pushed more to get that sorted out. We were just really excited to get this thing going.
I’m posting the covers to the issues we covered in these posts and this is another, “Man, things have changed,” things. Back then I was scanning the covers from my collection, which looked okay but aren’t as sharp as what we see in digital editions in the here and now. To keep the whole “posting these episodes as they originally aired” vibe going, I’m also posting the original scans I did at the time.
